ISEB Practitioner Certificate in Test Analysis

The ISEB Practitioner Certificate in Test Analysis focus on the specific tasks, activities and techniques performed or used by test analysts.  The course is divided into two major sections - Choices and Techniques.

Within "Choices" delegates explore the following subjects:

• the influence context has on the testing that needs to be performed
• how to rigorously analyse a test basis to identify test items and which test techniques are appropriate to test them
• the tools available to test analysts to assist them in their role
  • test tools
  • defect taxonomies
  • incident reporting and metrics

Within "Techniques" delegates explore the following subjects:

• the use of metrics to determine test coverage and test progress
• how to compile test summary reports
• understanding the different approaches to testing
• recognise, understand and use different test techniques / types of testing within a given context
• analysing test output to identify where new test cases might be required
