This two day course allows students to gain both theoretical and practical knowledge of the principles and realities of system performance testing.
The course has the following objectives:
- Understand the Objectives of performance testing
- Understand the Basic technical architecture
- Explain what you need to understand about networks before you can execute your performance tests.
- Understand the specifics you need to know about your software to ensure successful performance testing
- Identify which business processes to capture, a look at the data for the processes and the impact the test will have on the database. Also, calculation examples and practice questions for data volumes required
- Learn when different types of performance test should be executed
- Look at why monitoring is required when the test is being executed and what signs should be looked for to determine if the system is performing as expected
- Learn how to organise and analyse your data correctly before findings are reported
- Learn how to select the appropriate Performance tool for your requirements
