Applied Performance Testing

This two day course allows students to gain both theoretical and practical knowledge of the principles and realities of system performance testing.

The course has the following objectives:

• Understand the Objectives of performance testing
• Understand the Basic technical architecture
• Explain what you need to understand about networks before you can execute your performance tests.
• Understand the specifics you need to know about your software to ensure successful performance testing
• Identify which business processes to capture, a look at the data for the processes and the impact the test will have on the database. Also, calculation examples and practice questions for data volumes required
• Learn when different types of performance test should be executed
• Look at why monitoring is required when the test is being executed and what signs should be looked for to determine if the system is performing as expected
• Learn how to organise and analyse your data correctly before findings are reported
• Learn how to select the appropriate Performance tool for your requirements
